Llama and alpaca owners and lovers from around the northwest and beyond came together to raise $18,600 for camelid research last year.
This brought the total raised through the 23 years of this event over the half million dollar mark! |

It had been more than 10 years since health information regarding llamas and alpacas was offered by veterinarians from Oregon State University to local owners and breeders. |

Beginning of a New Era in Camelid Herd Health |

Dozens of llama and alpaca veterinarians were assembling at OSU for the bi-annual International Camelid Health Conference. Glen Pfefferkorn, President of the NW Camelid Foundation wanted to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge available during that weekend and share it with owners. |
